ONLINE CLASS "PAST SIMPLE PASSIVE"

Exercises:
Put the following sentences into Passive Voice  (Simple Past)

1 Who wrote this book?
2 How did they steal her car?
3 The children rang the ball a few minutes ago.
4 The kids forgot the whole story in a few days
5 Did the President make an importart speech last night?
6 The police didn´t question him very closely.

7 The wild animals killed two men yesterday

 Match the examples to the passive forms.

1 The picture was used
   in a car advertisement.
2 This dress wasn´t just designed
   to look good.
3 In fashion, optical illusions are used
   to makes us look better

3 Read the first part of the article and choose the correct forms of the verb.

Street painting appeared / was appeared first in the the 16th Century in Italy. The painters called / were calledmadonnari” and they painted / were painted  pictures of well- known characters on the pavement.
In 1984, 3D pavement art invented / was invented by the American, Kurt Venner. When you look at 3D pavement art from a certain place, it looks like it is 3D! A few years later, a TV documentary made / was made  Kurt and his work famous. He asked / was asked to make 3D art for adverts, festivals and museums.This 3D pavement art didn´t do / wasn´t done by Kurt, but by Julian Beever, a British pavement artist.

4 Complete the second part of the article. Use the Past simple active or passive form of the verbs.  

Recently in England, 3D Street painting was used (use) to make the city safer.
Between 1790 and 1820, over 150 kilometres of Canals __________ (build) in London, Nowadays, cyclists and pedestrians share the path next to these Canals, but many cyclists ride too fast. 5 Rewrite the senteces in the passive. Include byif you think it´s necessary

3 They didn´t stop cyclists from using the path
4 They warned her not to cycle on the pavement

Let: Allow someone to do something
Make: Force someone to do something, or cause something to happen

Complete the sentences with make or let.

In order to go to Google Classroom, you must follow the Instructions:

Join a class with a class code

  1. At the top, click Add Add and then Join class.
    Click Join class
  2. Enter the class code your teacher gave you and click Join.
    A class code consists of 6 or 7 letters or numbers. For example, hjhmgrk or g5gdp1.
